Press Release: Libertarian Party of Indiana Hires New Business ...

The Libertarian Party of Indiana has hired two new staff members to help manage the day-to-day operations of the party. Lauren Rumpler has been hired to serve as the Communications Specialist while Alyssa Salgado joins the Libertarian Party of Indiana as Business Manager.

?The LPIN received dozens of applications for the two positions with quite a few qualified applications from inside and outside the party,? said Sam Goldstein, State Chair of the Libertarian Party of Indiana. ?Ultimately the hiring decisions were a unanimous decision of the Central Committee.?

Alyssa Salgado comes to the Libertarian Party of Indiana with strong nonprofit leadership and organizational skills. Salgado is a native from Noblesville, Indiana, and currently resides in Zionsville, Indiana. She attended Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and received a Bachelor?s of Science and Organizational Leadership and Supervision with a Certificate in Human Resource Management. She also serves as Office Manager and Project Coordinator for EarthWing Inc. Her focus will be the development of inter-party operations and membership development.

Lauren Rumpler hails from Cincinnati, Ohio, and is now a current resident of Muncie, Indiana. She currently attends Ball State University for Political Science. She spent three years working for Cardinal Communications, a student-run public relations firm at Ball State University as an account coordinator. In her time with the firm, she worked for Hairball8 Records in Houston, Texas, planned Paint for Peace at Ball State University, and worked on reputation management for the Ball State Choral Group. Rumpler also served as an intern for the Libertarian Party of Indiana under former Executive Director Chris Spangle. Rumpler will manage the online presence and media relationships for the Libertarian Party of Indiana.

?I am exited to grow with the party,? said Rumpler. ?I think that the party has gained a lot of forward momentum in the past and I am hoping that I will be able to help them grow in the future. I look forward to sharing with Hoosiers the libertarian vision for Indiana.?

The Libertarian Party is America, and Indiana?s, third largest political party, founded in 1971 as an alternative to the two main political parties. Its vision is for a world in which all individuals can freely exercise the natural right of sole dominion over their own lives, liberty and property by building a political party that elects Libertarians to public office, and moving public policy in a libertarian direction.

The Libertarian Party of Indiana was formed in 1974, and has maintained ballot access since 1994.
