Though the homemade tortillas alone are amazing, they are exemplified when wrapped around goodies!

There are so many things to put inside a burrito?the following are a few recipes we enjoy. But, beware! Read with Caution?I may have to kill you later for giving you family secrets

Crock Pot Beef

This recipe is awesome, easy and amazing

The Goods:
~Recipe obtained from my mom, altered from a magazine recipe

2 lbs boneless roast beef
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 t. beef bouillon or broth
1 onion, chopped
1/2 t. chili powder
1/2 t. cumin
2 T chopped cilantro
1/2 t. salt

Put all the ingredients into a crock pot. Start crock pot on high for 45 minutes. Then put on low to let it cook all day.

This is great to get started in the morning?it saturates the house with amazing smells!!

Salsa

My brother brought this recipe into our family. It is a very flavorful and tasty recipe.

There is a definitie kick to it but not too spicy. We typically add mango to the recipe but it is not necessary.

The Goods
~Recipe from my brother, given to him from another family

4 tomatoes
1/2 red onion
1 serano pepper
1 T pico pica hot sauce (or really any hot sauce)
3 T rice wine vinegar
2 T red wine vinegar
1/2 bunch cilantro

Puree 2 of the tomatoes. Fine chop onions, cilantro, serano pepper, and other tomatoes. Add liquid. This is easiest if made using a Cuisinart or blender.

*Add fruit if desired (papaya, peaches, mango, or other fruit)

And the accompanying beer goes to Negra Modelo.

There are a few beers I enjoy drinking with Mexican food but Negra Modelo is definitely a favorite. Its? flavors compliment Mexican food so well.

One of my followers, Kat Collins, described it as- ??a dark, yeasty Mexican beer. Divine with Mexican food!?

Stout Pie

Stout Pie is a 3 layered ice cream pie with an Oreo crust. Stout refers to it typically having one layer of ice cream that is vanilla ice cream mixed with a stout beer.

This pie is requested for many birthdays and everyone gets to pick their layers so it always differs.

For my last birthday, it was my favorite combination I have had thus far?stout layer (of course!), coffee heath, and espresso chip. The beer and coffee marriage was amazing!!

My nephew also requested it recently and it had Rocky Road, Brownie batter, and some other layer. It was still good but not like the one I chose That homemade caramel sauce was bomb though!

I have a recipe for some mean green chili as well but that will have to be for next time!
